Residents in nearby lane objected to illuminated signs plan

Fears that illuminated signs would cause fresh upset for Solihull residents living in a leafy lane has seen strict conditions imposed on plans tabled for the huge units opposite.
IAC Group, which is based at Prologis Park, in Marston Green, had applied for permission to install four “wayfinding totems” and three wall-mounted signs on-site.
But concerns were raised that the imposing premises were already lit-up “like a liner” and the proposals would mean further “aggravation” for those living in nearby Blackfirs Lane.
Referencing previous rows over the construction of the units, councillors said they couldn’t see the justification for the latest application.
